Team Up

We put you and your co-workers on a mission to be someone's hero for the day.

This virtual volunteering (remote) opportunity is designed for large groups in the workplace who want to help make a difference.

This group volunteering activity to mentor the youth also works as a fun team building experience for professionals.

Whether as a networking/getting-to-know-you event or for increasing camaraderie across business departments and offices, your team's participation helps to empower the youth to improve their confidence, self-esteem and achieve their full potential.

A special thanks to Intel for their teamwork and participation to mentor students!

“My team really enjoyed the activity. We also used it as a networking/getting-to-know-you event, with folks sharing their stories with each other. To start the activity I shared my example. As folks worked on their own forms and stories, we encouraged them to do it together as opposed to quietly on their own. At the end we asked a few people to share what they wrote down. We had a large group of folks, most unfamiliar with each other, so it was fun to hear about everyone’s backgrounds and experiences.” — Marissa, Intel Engineer

Did You Know?

Research shows that low self-esteem and confidence are seriously harming the lives of youth in America. Low self-esteem and confidence is linked to many harmful behaviors in adolescence and results in negative outcomes as an adult, including failing to reach one’s professional potential as an adult as well as poorer mental and physical health and higher criminal rates.

The great news is that this is a trait that can be reversed with action.

But Together — We Can Make a Difference!
When your company sponsors a class, you educate and empower the youth to improve their confidence, self-esteem and achieve their full potential. Students who participate in our program show average gains of 20% in their self-esteem!

By sponsoring a class, you provide students with program support for a "Superhero 9" class for a full school year, learning materials and supplies for students, and a teacher stipend.
